Developing a Project Logic is an essential component of any evaluation. Occasionally it can also be of use in other types of work.
Project Logic unpacks the thinking underpinning the policy or program that is being evaluated. The Project Logic identifies ‘what they were thinking when they designed this program or initiative’.
The reason for developing a Project Logic is to be clear about the expected outcomes of the policy or program, and the assumptions that underpin it, and to make these explicit.
This workshop will introduce each of the components of a Project Logic as we use them at Success Works and give participants the experience of compiling a draft Project Logic for discussion with the client. It will also explain the links between program and policy logic and provide some tips on how to support clients in developing Project Logics.
