Success Works was started by Jenny Cameron and Dr. Tricia Szirom in 1990. They got their first contract (from the Victorian Council on Social Services) on the same day that their daughter was born.

The company operated out of Jenny and Tricia’s front room for several years before it moved to the first of two offices in Fairfield, Victoria.

Jenny left the company in the mid 1990s and Tricia continued to operate as a sole owner for several years. In 2003 Debbie King joined Tricia and Success Works as a new business partner. At that time there were about seven employees working with Tricia and Debbie.

Tricia and Debbie ran the company as a partnership for another five years. Over this time the company grew to about 10 employees. In 2008, Tricia sold her shares in the company and two new partners joined (Stephen Duns and Patrick Lyons). During this period we also outgrew our Fairfield office and moved to our current location in Drummond Street, Carlton.

Our company started with a strong commitment to feminism. We maintain this commitment which we now express in terms of our commitment to diversity. We also maintain our strong commitment to social justice and to doing work which supports people who are disadvantaged.
