Social paradigms are effective for a time and then begin to wane - new problems develop that require new approaches.  There are three typical responses to this. Some hang on and attempt to re-energise the fading approach. Some allow the approach to collapse. Others begin to look for a new way. These social pioneers often work in isolation, missing out on the collective wisdom of collaborative effort. Gradually as the work of these pioneers connects and integrates a new pattern or approach emerges.
The work that Success Works does brings us into contact with many of these social pioneers. We undertake evaluations of pilot programs and innovative social policy, we develop strategic plans for forward thinking community organisations and we discover and test new social technologies.
Our social innovation work aims to accelerate the development and adoption of new approaches to social issues. We do this by:

• connecting and integrating the work of the social pioneers,
• integrating the work we do with clients,
• analysing and identifying themes and patterns,
• encouraging early adopters and building a bridge between the old and the new approaches,
• advocating on behalf of social pioneers;  and
• facilitating learning of new social technologies.
